I apologize for not updating the blog this week. The students and I have been working on incorporating centers into our daily schedule. The work the students are/will be doing in centers will be reinforcing those concepts in both reading and math that we have worked on throughout first quarter. They have performed quite well this week and I am proud of their efforts.
Due to a scheduling change, the book fair will be next week, October 14th-17th, instead of the week of parent/teacher conferences. There are extended times on a couple of evenings if you prefer to come to the book fair with your child instead of sending them with money. I will send those times home in a note on Friday. I will be taking them to the book fair as well during the school day.
Please remember that there is no school Monday, October 13th, in observance of Columbus Day. I hope everyone enjoys their three-day weekend!
